Shade Structures Engineered for Wind & Rain

Afternoon shade for lunch, dappled light by 4 PM, louvers closing as the storm rolls in. A pergola is the room you didn't think you could add. Aluminum louvered pergolas for backyard decks, pool surrounds, restaurant patios, and rooftop bars. Choose freestanding or wall-attached, manual hand-crank or motorized louver control. Powder-coat finishes color-matched to your home's window frames or the building's railing system. Each pergola ships pre-cut, labeled by frame member. The louver array is trial-fitted in our workshop before disassembly.

VILLA & COUNTRY HOME

Private estates, infinity-pool surrounds, beachfront villa terraces. Statement-bay pergolas with oversize post profiles, integrated rain gutters that drain through the post, recessed LED lighting in every louver, and motorized louver + side-screen pairing. Often shipped as part of a coordinated villa package — pergola, cable balustrade, outdoor kitchen, all finished to one RAL color.

NEW HOME BUILD

Backyard patios, pool decks, attached covered seating off the kitchen door. Single-bay aluminum pergolas, freestanding on the deck or wall-attached at the home's exterior wall. Manual hand-crank is the standard residential default. Motorized louvers with a rain sensor are the common upgrade — for owners who don't want to run out and crank when a sudden shower hits. Finish color picked from your window frames or trim for a coordinated look.

APARTMENT & CONDO

Apartment terraces, condo balconies, rooftop alcoves the owner uses daily. Compact single-bay pergolas wall-attached at the building wall (with engineer-of-record sign-off on the attachment) or freestanding on the terrace deck. Powder-coat finish matched to the building's existing railing or window frames so the pergola reads as part of the architecture.

BATCH RENOVATION & MULTI-UNIT DEVELOPMENT

Restaurant patios, rooftop bars, hotel terraces, condo amenity decks, build-to-rent clubhouses. Larger-bay louvered pergolas with integrated LED light tracks, perimeter rain gutters, and side-screen tracks for retractable mesh. Repeat pergola modules — typically two or three bays around a rooftop — fabricated together. The powder-coat finish, louver profile, and post detail match across the deck. Coordinates with the matching outdoor kitchen and cable-railing perimeter.

Spec Snapshot

Extruded aluminum frame with internal gutter channels in the perimeter beams. Adjustable aluminum louver blades on stainless pivot bearings. Powder-coat finish in any RAL color. Manual hand-crank, wired motor, or Wi-Fi remote-control options. Hollow posts route rainwater from closed-louver runoff to a discharge fitting at the base. Add-ons: LED tracks, side-screen rails, rain sensor on motorized units.

How to Spec for Your Project

Send a site sketch with the pergola footprint, the height to the underside, and any wall it will attach to. Tell us your wind zone (or your nearest large city — we'll look it up) and whether snow load applies. Choose freestanding or wall-attached, then manual or motorized. Pick a RAL color against your window frames or existing railing. Add-ons — LED tracks, side-screens, gutters, rain sensor — wire in easier at order stage than as a retrofit.

About Our Pergola Range

A pergola is an outdoor aluminum-frame shade structure with an adjustable or fixed roof. Most commonly motorized or hand-crank louvers, used over decks, patios, and rooftop bars. Freestanding or wall-attached; manual or motorized; finished in any RAL color to match the home.

A pergola is a load-bearing aluminum structure with a moving roof. Two things have to be right at once. The frame has to take the wind, snow, and rain loads at your site. The louvers have to pivot freely for years without binding. We size the frame profile (post wall thickness, beam depth) to your wind zone. Then we build the louvers on a separate set of bearings. That keeps frame flex under load from jamming the louvers. Owners ask for freestanding, wall-attached, or multi-bay runs. Manual hand-crank, motorized, or Wi-Fi remote control. Bronze, black, white, anthracite, or custom RAL color finishes. Designed in our Guangdong workshop and crafted by a team that has shipped 800+ projects to 60+ countries.

Every pergola starts from a site sketch — post footprint, height to underside, attachment wall if any, and the wind / snow zone. We return a CAD elevation with anchor details for slab or attached condition. Louver pivot range, and any add-ons (LED tracks, gutters, side-screen rails, rain sensor for motorized units). On our workshop floor each frame is pre-assembled. We fit the louver array and pivot it through full range under power. We bench-test the motor controller before disassembly. The pergola ships as labeled frame members in a wood crate. The louver blades, controller, and hardware ship in separate boxes. An assembly guide and a step-by-step video ship with the crate. Our engineering team is reachable on WhatsApp at +86 185 8907 5949 during install. After delivery, your contractor or installer handles fitting. Where local installation is available in your region, we can help you find a vetted installer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Freestanding vs wall-attached — what's the install difference?

A freestanding pergola anchors on four posts to a slab, deck, or footing pad — installation is independent of the building. A wall-attached pergola replaces two of those posts with a wall-bracket beam that bolts into the building's wall structure. The wall has to be load-rated — studs into structural members, or anchors into solid concrete. Wall-attached pergolas are cleaner against the house but your engineer of record verifies the attachment substrate.

Can the louvers be motorized after install?

In principle yes — the louver array geometry is the same for manual and motorized configurations. But the motor needs power routed through the post and a controller mount. We strongly recommend deciding manual or motorized at the order stage so the post can be pre-drilled and pre-wired before powder-coat. Field-retrofitting a motor means drilling through a finished post, which compromises the coating.

How does the pergola handle rainwater?

When the louvers are closed, the integrated channels direct water to the post drains. The pergola's perimeter beams are extruded with internal gutter channels. Rainwater that lands on closed louvers runs to the beams, into the post (which is hollow), and out a discharge fitting at the base. Discharge can route into a downspout or onto the deck depending on what your site needs.

How is a pergola packed for ocean freight?

Posts, beams, and rafters ship as labeled frame members in a wood crate. Louver blades are bundled separately with foam-edge protection so the powder-coat surfaces don't rub. Motor, controller, and small hardware ship in a separate accessory box. The crate is photo-documented before sealing.

Do you provide drawings my local engineer can stamp?

Yes. Shop drawings reference the relevant code families for the United States, Australia, and Canada (IRC, IBC, AS 1657, AS 1288, NCC, CSA). For pergolas the review usually covers post anchoring, wind-uplift on the louvered roof, and snow loads in cold-climate sites. A licensed engineer in your jurisdiction handles final stamping.
